Discovered accidentally by Dr. Francine Shapiro, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is one of the most researched and utilized methods in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Evidence-based EMDR is also used to treat other forms of human distress connected to trauma and adverse life experiences, even those that are not inherently traumatic. EMDR creates new connections within the brain, rewiring your brain to be desensitized to activating or dysregulating memories and the thoughts, feelings, and sensations connected to it.
Please contact me if you would like to be considered for treatment. EMDR is effective and rewarding but can be taxing. I will assess for current appropriateness of treatment or a plan to get you there during a free 30 minute consultation which you can book here.
